Prior to Morra Capital, James was the Executive Chairman of Dubai Professional Trading Group DMCC, a proprietary trading venture initiated in conjunction with the Government of Dubai and the Chief Financial Officer of Dove Energy Group Limited, involved in the exploration and production of oil in Yemen and elsewhere in the Middle East.

James also served in senior executive positions at the Dubai International Financial Center, including as the Head of Islamic Banking, Executive Vice President, and as the Senior Executive Officer of the DIFC Branch of Jersey based Volaw Trust & Corporate Services Limited.

His career includes sixteen years at the Bank of America, in a number of international positions including Global Treasurer – The Private Bank; San Francisco and London; Director of Sales – BankAmerica International, New York; CEO – BankAmerica Trust and Banking Corporation, Cayman Islands; CFO – World Banking Group, Asia Division, based in Tokyo and Head of Liability Product Development, based in San Francisco. Previously he held a variety of trading roles with King & Shaxson, Amex Bank and American Express.

His academic qualifications include ACIB: (Chartered Institute of Bankers, London) and MBA in Business(San Francisco)

Massy Hume

Massy is currently Managing Director at Morra Capital, with a focus on business development in Morra’s key client markets.

Prior to Morra Capital, Massy was the founder and managing director of Tibia Design LLC, a reputed interior design company established in 1994. With a focus on both conceptual and actual design, she has hands-on involvement in planning, directing and managing all operational and architectural aspects of projects. Having overseen over 150 projects since inception, Massy has a particular interest in recruiting, training and developing design and project management professionals.

From 2000 until 2010, Massy also managed Tibia General Trading LLC, a company specializing in import and export of goods from the UAE to elsewhere in the Middle East with a primary focus on construction, life sciences, IT and consumer goods.

Before launching the Tibia group of companies, Massy managed the business development activities of CanGulf, a Canadian and UAE based company active in the oil and gas industry. During her early career, she worked as a mathematics instructor in Dubai and as head of nursing administration in Iran Mehr Hospital in Tehran.

Massy is fluent in English, Farsi, Turkish and she speaks Arabic moderately. She has a MBA from Wollongong University (Australia), and a Diploma in Interior Design from Sheffield School of Design (Australia).

Soroosh Mohammadi

Soroosh is a Director at Morra Capital, with a focus on finance, life sciences and mining.

Soroosh also founded Morra Capital Limited in 2011 after previously working as a derivatives proprietary trader. He managed a private held fund, trading fixed-income and European equity indices.

Prior to the launch of the fund, he headed the membership services department at NASDAQ Dubai and was also a key member in launching the Equity Derivatives Platform at NASDAQ Dubai.

He studied Electrical Engineering at Boston University and Biotechnology at the University of Edinburgh University, Scotland.

Sara Mohammadi

Sara is a Director at Morra Capital, with a focus on communication, technology, renewable energy and hospitality.

Prior to Morra, Sara was the General Manager of the Family Business Council – Gulf, a non-profit established in the DIFC to help GCC families on governance and inter-generational transfer of wealth and management. She launched her career as a management consultant with PwC, Dubai Holding and Monitor Deloitte.

Sara has a M.Sc. in International Political Economy with distinction from LSE, a M.A. in Economics and a B.A. with Summa Cum Laude in Economics and International Relations from Tufts University. In 2003, she was awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award in International Relations at Tufts University.

Charles de Chezelles

Viscount Charles de Chezelles, L.L.B is a seasoned executive in the global resource sector and is currently Managing Director of Omega Trust Company Limited in London England. He recently retired as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cambrian Mining PLC, now a part of Western Canadian Coal. Charles has extensive experience in structuring and developing natural resource companies in different areas around the globe.

Charles has been a director of several natural resource companies throughout his career, including a directorship in a private oil and gas company with projects in the Kyrgyz Republic. He is chairman of a gold exploration company in the Philippines. Mr. de Chezelles also has an extensive financial background holding previous positions as Executive Director, Credit Suisse-First Boston, in London; General Manager, Banco Real S.A. in London; Director, First Boston Europe, in London; and Vice President, The First Boston Corporation, New York

Charles is a graduate in law from Ecole Superieure de Preparation aux Affaires, in Paris, and holds a degree in finance from New York Institute of Finance, New York University.
